Bianca is the younger of the two sisters Casady in the exciting freak folk / indie-rock band CocoRosie. The music however has too much of an own identity and personality to fit in such a category.
A lot of the qualities that can be found in their music have an equivalent in Casady’s
art and writing. Both art and writing question important issues in human live, gender, spirituality and personal history.
Foundation Wall House #2 has invited Bianca Casady to work for an extended period on site. Casady created a body of new drawings and will give the house a total make over.
The Wall House #2 is the only realised theoretical model of a house for two people. The design was made by John Hejduk in 1972. Finally after 30 years the house was realised in Groningen. The Wall House Foundation invites creative people from different fields in the arts to become an embedded artist.
The Wall House in itself is an example of how live can be organised and lived.
In conjunction with the show Foundation Wall House #2 will publish Casady’s book, Le Combat Spirituel.
