The collaboration of Sabisha & Jamie del Moon began in 2008. Sabisha is a singer with a formation of both classical music and experimental/ contemporary sound studies hailing from San Francisco/New York. She has performed widely with Amaury Cambuzat (Young God) as the duo Silverstaticmusic and with the post-pop group Lustrine (France Fiction Records). Jamie, a multi-instrumentalist has been in a long line of bands, the most recent and notable being Women & Children (Narnak Records). With this new project they explore their interest in ancient folk music (1500's Elizabethan), prog/ concept rock, and modernist tape music (Pierre Schaeffer's musique concrète) to yield richly textured songs that, while having unusual arrangements, are highly melodic and accessible. The set is minimally assembled (guitar, voice, 4trk reel to reel) while the sound is lush and otherworldly. The melding of Jamie's intricate compositions with Sabisha's ethereal vocals creates a rare atmosphere live that is often described as "haunting and captivating" (Ingrid Sischy/ Interview Magazine). They are currently composing for an art film based on their song "Soothsayer" to be produced by Premiere Heure in Spring 2009. Onstage they are joined by the celebrated young cellist Moritz Müllenbach, Olivier Roberts (bass, percussion/ Women & Children), and Nikolu Jorio (guitar/ii, Gnaw).
