Back Cover issue #1 release.
Castillo/Corrales gallery (Paris), 65, Rue Rébeval, 75019 Paris, July 17, 7:30 pm

castillo/corrales, which will stay open all summer long, presents at its bookstore Section 7 Books an assorted selection of books and magazines meant for a summer break: art criticism page-turners, dealers biographies, timeless classics and future ones, mostly light and sometimes waterproof items, etc.

This Thursday, on July 17th, at 7.30 pm, Section 7 Books invites you to an evening with Alejandro Cesarco, the New York artist and editor of the A.R.T. Press series "Between Artists", and Alexandre Dimos, Gaël Étienne and Véronique Marrier, the editorial team of Back Cover, the graphic design magazine formerly known as Marie Louise, who will present their ongoing publishing projects and latest releases.

Founded in 1987 by Bill Bartman, A.R.T. Press primarily publishes books based on artist to artist conversations. The conversation format permits a thorough and at the same time informal investigation of the artists' practice and the larger social issues that inform it. At Section 7 Books Alejandro Cesarco will present two new titles in the "Between Artists" series: Maria Eichhorn / John Miller and Andrea Bowers / Catherine Opie. Past titles in the "Between Artists" series, which include Martha Rosler/Paul Chan; Lawrence Weiner/Liam Gillick, Amy Sillman/Gregg Bordowitz; Silvia Kolbowski/Walid Raad, are also available at Section 7 Books.

Back Cover is a new bi-annual magazine from Paris, focusing on graphic design, typography, and printed matter in a broader sense. Conceived as "an open place for personalities who make or analyze our visual environment", Back Cover offers subjective and specific thoughts on publishing and reading. The first issue includes several texts by artists and graphic designers, from Peter Bilak and Richard Hollis to Pierre Leguillon and Raphaël Zarka, who write about the texts they most like, the authors they cherish and the books they would like people to discover.
